Brian Plum

Assistant Director of Development for Leadership Gifts, College of Agriculture and Life Sciences

Brian joined the College of Agriculture and Life Sciences in January 2016 as Assistant Director of Development for Leadership Gifts. His responsibilities include strengthening the college's fund raising efforts in support of current operations, endowment, and other capital purposes from all private sources, with a leadership emphasis on annual gifts and new donor acquisition.

Brian earned degrees at both Longwood University and George Mason University. After completing his masters, he worked in sustainable agriculture and food security with the Peace Corps in Guatemala.  Upon his return to the states, he worked with a variety of non-profit organizations in Virginia and Colorado. Just prior to coming to Virginia Tech, Brian and his wife Stephanie spent two years traveling the world.
