Learning Objectives
Upon completion of the course, students will be able to:
- Forecast how changes in healthcare regulation and federal/state/local policies may impact dietetics practice.
- Address a nutrition-related controversy through evidence-informed public relations messaging.
- Manage employee performance evaluation and goal setting.
- Perform workplace analytics compared to published benchmark data.
- Integrate peer-reviewed literature into point-of-care policies and procedures.
- Track inpatient and outpatient medical claims through the multiple steps of processing between “bedside” and reimbursement/payment.
- Design workflow strategies to meet regulatory electronic health record objectives.
