Tim Jarome

Tim Jarome, PhD, has been appointed as the Interim Assistant Director of CALS Research. Tim is an Associate Professor in the School of Animal Sciences, where he leads a research program focused on the cellular, molecular, and epigenetic mechanisms of memory formation and modification. He earned his B.A. in Psychology from Kent State University and completed his Ph.D. in Behavioral Neuroscience at the University of Wisconsin-Milwaukee. Since joining Virginia Tech in 2018, Tim has made significant contributions to our understanding of memory processes, with implications for aging and neurological disorders. Dr. Jarome will lead CALS efforts in supporting the research mission through the CALS Office of Research and Innovation (CALS ORI, formerly CAIA).
