Curriculum Committee
Welcome to the CALS Curriculum Committee website. The committee is responsible for the review of new and revised graduate and undergraduate course/program proposals, including options, program requirements, and new degree programs. The committee consists of faculty from units within the college. Members are responsible to become familiar with proposal content by colleagues in their unit.
During the review, the committee considers compliance with established guidelines and procedures; academic quality, rigor, and relevance in support of college goals; and potential overlap or conflicts with other colleges. The committee provides the proposal author with feedback to aid in a successful review at the next level.
To submit a proposal, go to the University Academic Curriculum Governance site and click on the relevant Courseleaf CIM form. Click here for a list of acceptable verbs for the Learning Objectives. When you have completed the form, click on "Save Changes". Email Jessica Bedore, Chair, and Anna Taylor, Curriculum Coordinator, to let them know the name and key number of your proposal. The key number is located at the bottom right of the proposal. If you have any questions about the process, please call or email Anna Taylor, 231-6939.
