Get to Know Your Alumni Team

Earning a degree from Virginia Tech’s College of Agriculture and Life Sciences (CALS) is just the beginning of a lifelong connection with your alma mater. The CALS Alumni and Constituent Relations team is dedicated to keeping that connection strong by fostering pride and participation among our 26,000 alumni and thousands of constituents from 107 Virginia Cooperative Extension offices and six Virginia 4-H Educational Centers.
From alumni gatherings to special recognition events, the team works year-round to ensure that CALS alumni and friends remain actively involved in the college’s vibrant community and land-grant mission.
Meet the team
Robyn Stuart, Director of Alumni and Constituent Relations

With over 16 years of experience in engagement programming and university advancement, Robyn has been part of the Virginia Tech community since 2014. She joined CALS in November 2023 after serving as director of alumni relations for the College of Liberal Arts and Human Sciences. Previously, she held roles as the assistant director of alumni relations for the College of Engineering and as a special events coordinator for University Advancement.
At CALS, Robyn leads programming, events, and outreach efforts to foster strong relationships between the college and its stakeholders. She also manages the Dean’s Advisory Council, coordinates Giving Day initiatives, and oversees the monthly “CALS Connections” email newsletter.
Robyn holds a bachelor’s degree in communications media and a master’s degree in student affairs — both from Indiana University of Pennsylvania. She lives in McCoy, just across from the Kentland Farm cattle fields, with her husband and two children.
“I have a passion for serving students and our communities through our land-grant mission, so following my career path to CALS truly feels like I’m at home,” Robyn said. “I look forward to growing our engagement programming and building deeper connections with alumni and stakeholders. Our dean, Mario Ferruzzi, has brought a new energy and perspective to the work we all do across CALS and VCE, and I'm excited to strengthen our network in support of that mission.”
Anna Worch, Assistant Director of Alumni and Constituent Relations

Anna joined the CALS team in August 2024, bringing a background in event planning, fundraising, and donor and volunteer engagement. She leads the coordination of CALS recognition and stewardship events, including An Evening with 4-H and the CALS Alumni Organization’s Celebration of Ut Prosim.
Her passion for alumni engagement began during her undergraduate years at Manchester University in Indiana, where she served on the Executive Board of the Student Alumni Council. She later applied this passion professionally, working in the heritage and nonprofit sectors before transitioning to higher education advancement.
Prior to joining CALS, Anna worked for The National Trust, the largest conservation charity in Europe, managing volunteer engagement, fundraising events, and community outreach initiatives. Her experience also includes marketing, social media strategy, and donor relations in nonprofit and corporate settings.
A native of Indianapolis, Anna lived in Pittsburgh and the Midlands of England before settling in Blacksburg with her husband and two children.
“I’m passionate about building meaningful connections that bring our CALS community closer together—whether through stewardship events, recognition programs, or collaborative efforts across the university. I look forward to engaging with our alumni, celebrating their achievements, and fostering lifelong ties to CALS,” Anna said.
Maribeth Martin, Assistant Director of Alumni and Constituent Relations

Maribeth joined the CALS alumni and constituent relations team in December 2024, bringing extensive experience leading outreach and programming as a Virginia Cooperative Extension agent. She manages broad-based college engagement programs, including Meet the Dean events, CALS’ participation in Virginia Tech Alumni Weekend and Homecoming, and the CALS Alumni Organization Board.
Maribeth is a native of Henry County/Martinsville and grew up participating in 4-H. After earning her bachelor’s and master’s degrees from James Madison University, she embarked on a career in education and youth development. She was a teacher in Botetourt, Alleghany, and Henry County Public Schools before serving for almost seven years as a Virginia 4-H Youth Development agent in Bedford County, where she earned state and national recognition for her contributions to 4-H youth programs.
Maribeth has served as president-elect of the Virginia Extension Service Association and held multiple committee leadership roles in the Virginia Association for Extension 4-H Youth Development Professionals. She remains deeply involved in professional and community organizations supporting Extension, youth programs, and alumni engagement.
She lives in Cloverdale, Virginia, with her husband and two daughters.
“Even though I didn’t grow up a Hokie, I feel deeply connected to the community through my years of involvement in Virginia Cooperative Extension programs,” she said. “Joining the Advancement team allows me to ensure lasting engagement with VCE, while building meaningful relationships with the entire CALS community. I look forward to enriching alumni and stakeholders' connections with both VCE and CALS.”
