Employers will set up tables at the venue. The event is open to all students.

Registration is strongly encouraged.

Business/interview attire is required.

Make sure you review how to prepare for a career fair and what to during the event. Also, learn more about what makes a good resume.

If an employer wishes to schedule an interview with you, they will speak directly with you to make those arrangements. Be sure to listen carefully for details about the time and location of the interview to ensure that it fits in with your schedule.

Interviews may take place between 8:30 a.m. and 4:30 p.m. You should arrive at least 15 minutes before your scheduled time.

If you land an interview, dress appropriately. Business/interview attire is required.

Also, make sure you read the advice about what to do (and not) at an interview.

We have reserved special rates and rooms for our participating employers. These rooms are first come first serve.

Event expenses are incurred based on the number of registrants; therefore, NO request for release of obligation or refund will be granted if received by the career services team on or after 9/2/2024. A full refund will be granted if the request for cancellation is received by Monday, 9/2/24. After 9/2/24, please contact Katie White (katiewhite@vt.edu) for your available options.

In the unlikely circumstance that this event is canceled due to insufficient registrations or unforeseen circumstances, the university will refund your registration fee. However, Virginia Tech cannot be held responsible for any other expenses, cancellation fees, or other charges.

In the event of inclement weather and the cancellation of the CALS Career Fair, we will offer employers two options: 1) A refund of applicable registration fees or 2) To use the registration fees towards a future career fair.

Check in will be from 8:00am to 9:30am. Students will be available to assist you with transporting materials at the front lobby area of The Inn at Virginia Tech. Pastries and coffee will be available from 8-9:30 am. 

Each employer will be provided with one 8′ x 6′ booth (with electric and Wi-Fi access) and up to two chairs. Table linens will be provided or you may bring your own. If you need to ship display materials ahead of the Career Fair event, please reach out to katiewhite@vt.edu for drayage information. Hollins Expo Services, our event vendor, will be providing that service for our employers, and materials can be shipped to them. Display materials will be placed at your booth by 8:30 a.m. the day of the event.

The career fair begins promptly at 10:00am in the Latham Ballroom at the Inn at Virginia Tech and ends at 4:00pm.

Boxed lunches will be provided and can be picked up from 11:30am to 1:00pm.

You may take down your displays and pack up from 4:00pm to 5:00pm.

The event is open to all Virginia Tech students.

If you are interested in holding interviews the day after the career fair, please request an interview space when you complete your registration form. Please note that space is limited.

Employers can park for free in the front lots of the Inn at Virginia Tech.

• Take exit 118B onto 460 West towards Virginia Tech.
• Continue for 10.2 miles to the Prices Fork Road exit for “Downtown.” The exit ramp will veer right.
• Continue on to the first stop light and turn right into the parking lot of The Inn at Virginia Tech
