This has been an extraordinarily difficult time for everyone, the reality is also true for 4-H Camp at our Centers. Serving youth and providing an in-person 4-H camp experience was not possible, which has had both short and long term negative financial impacts on all of our camping centers.

We have transitioned to virtual camp experiences such as camp in a box that allows for youth to participate by meeting them where they are. However, primary sources of revenue from camp, program fees from long-term partnerships, and community events have been significantly impacted by cancellations due to the COVID-19 pandemic virus.

The 4-H camping centers serve their communities year-round, not just during summer camps. For these communities, the centers have a vital economic impact. Community members staff the centers year-round.

The best gift we can give our kids is to empower them with skills that will last for a lifetime, which is why parents have been sending their kids to 4-H summer camps for decades. Camp provides life-changing hands-on experiential learning opportunities in a fun environment where youth can be themselves.

4-H was founded on the belief that when kids are empowered to pursue their passions and chart their courses, their skills grow and take shape, helping them to become true leaders in their lives, careers, and communities.

Invest in our 4-H Centers to ensure we preserve this life-changing experience now and for future generations.
