Hunter Hilbert

Hunter joined CALS Development in the fall of 2023. As a two-time Hokie (M.S., B.S.), Hunter is passionate about engaging with alumni and friends of the college and Virginia Cooperative Extension. In his role, he aims to strengthen connections to the college and university by providing opportunities for positive impact through philanthropy, volunteer work, and collaboration—all in support of endowments, current operations, and other capital purposes. Prior to returning to his home college, Hunter served Virginia Tech’s Career and Professional Development unit as Assistant Director for Career Development and College Relations.

Hunter is also an alum of Virginia 4-H and Virginia FFA. During his time in graduate school at Virginia Tech, he served the College of Agriculture and Life Sciences as a graduate teaching assistant through the college’s Office of Academic Programs.

As a native of Virginia’s Shenandoah Valley, Hunter holds a deep appreciation for agricultural life and the land-grant mission.
