Virginia Tech’s Online Master of Science in Agricultural and Life Sciences (OMALS) is a 30-credit, 100% online graduate degree designed for working professionals and students seeking advanced study in agricultural and life sciences.
Offered through the Virginia Tech College of Agriculture and Life Sciences, OMALS combines applied graduate coursework with specialized study in one of eight concentrations. Students learn from faculty who are active researchers and practitioners in their fields while building expertise relevant to their professional goals. OMALS Certificate Programs
Virginia Tech also offers online graduate certificates for students seeking focused graduate study without completing the full 30-credit OMALS degree. Certificate options range from 12–14 credits and include specialized study in Agribusiness and Leadership.
4+1 Accelerated Master's Program
Eligible Virginia Tech undergraduate students can begin graduate coursework toward the OMALS degree through the Accelerated Master's Program. Students may apply up to 12 eligible graduate credits toward the 30-credit Master of Science degree and continue completing OMALS online after earning their undergraduate degree.
