Professional interests:  While the long-term benefits of exercise are well known, the underlying signals that drive these protective effects remain less understood. My lab is interested in the immediate signaling events triggered by exercise- specifically, how cells communicate in response to physical activity. We investigate the molecular messengers behind exercise-induced metabolic changes, with a focus on skeletal muscle, liver, and bone. |
