• Dr. Susan Friedman's Living and Learning with Animals online course
• Shadow a KPA certified animal trainer in your local area
• Shadow an IAABC certified animal behavior consultant in your local area
• Take dog trainer coursework from Karen Pryor Academy
• Volunteer at your local animal shelter

To be most competive for admission to the program, we recommend 75-100 hours engaging in any of the above (or a combination) options with documentation of your experience added to your resume.
