The college can trace its roots to Virginia Tech’s founding nearly 150 years ago. Though times have changed, our mission has not: conducting insightful research, educating the next generation of leaders in agriculture and life sciences, and conducting impactful outreach around the world.

With partnerships and support from you, we can continue this tradition for another 150 years.

VCE: Local impacts on a grand scale

Virginia Cooperative Extension has the commonwealth covered. From helping producers find solutions to their production challenges to assisting communities as they fight the opioid epidemic, Extension is partnering with towns, non-profits, and families to address the most pressing issues in their communities. 

With support from you, we can make an even bigger impact.

4-H: Growing true leaders

Today 4-H reaches and engages youth across urban, suburban and rural communities with or without internet access, and we’ve always gone beyond four walls to do it. We meet our youth where they are providing educational resources, a caring adult mentor and sense of belonging to help young people thrive even in the most difficult times.

The skills the youth learn in 4-H today will carry them through a lifetime of leadership.
