Graduate Scholarships
The following graduate tuition scholarships are available to students in the College of Agriculture and Life Sciences. Each spring semester the Associate Dean for research and Graduate Studies will issue a call for nomination to the department heads. Applications must be completed by a nominating faculty member in the appropriate department and signed by the head of the department. A faculty committee evaluates the applications and makes recommendations to the Associate Dean for Research and Graduate Studies.
Horace E. and Elizabeth F. Alphin Scholarship
Tuition scholarship(s) will be awarded to any full-time graduate student in the College of Agriculture and Life Sciences. Recipient(s) will be selected on the basis of financial need and academic achievement.
Cyrus McCormick Scholarship
This scholarship will be awarded to any full-time graduate student in the College of Agriculture and Life Sciences. Recipient(s) will be selected on the basis of financial need and academic achievement.
Phyllis G. and Reginald H. Nelson IV Scholarship
Tuition scholarship(s) will be awarded to any full-time graduate student in the College of Agriculture and Life Sciences. Recipient(s) will be selected on the basis of financial need and academic achievement.
Celeste W. Reynolds Scholarship
Tuition scholarship will be awarded to any full-time graduate student whose primary interest is in a food and nutrition, preferably community food service programs. This scholarship will be awarded every other year.
David J. Spence Tuition Scholarship
Tuition scholarship(s) will be awarded and is available only to graduate students conducting research in certifiable organic production systems. To apply for this scholarship, attach to the nomination form a 1-page outline of the type of research the graduate student will be expected to address (for an entering student) or is currently addressing (for a currently enrolled student).
William T. Steele, Jr. Graduate Scholarship
Tuition scholarship(s) will be awarded to any full-time graduate student in the College of Agriculture and Life Sciences. Recipient(s) will be selected on the basis of financial need and academic achievement.
Watkins Family Scholarship
Tuition scholarship(s) will be awarded to any full-time graduate student in the College of Agriculture and Life Sciences. Recipient(s) will be selected on the basis of financial need and academic achievement.
