M.S. in Human Nutrition, Foods, and Exercise
HNFE’s mission to discover, translate, and disseminate health-related advances in the nutrition, foods, and exercise sciences is put into practice through our doctoral and master’s program options. Student learning contributes to scientific progress through molecular and cellular approaches in diet, nutrients, and exercise in health and disease; clinical and experimental research in human nutrition, foods, and exercise sciences; and human nutrition, foods, and physical activity behaviors within the context of community and clinical settings. Core competencies across all tracks require students to identify the basic elements of the scientific method; acquire a fundamental understanding of, and specialized knowledge in, nutrition, foods, and exercise sciences; and demonstrate an understanding of the translational research spectrum.
