September 2024 Employee of the Month - Margarita Palomino

When guests enter the Virginia Cooperative Extension’s Montgomery office, they are quickly greeted with a quick “hello, how can I help you.” With responsibilities that require her to interact with the public as well as office staff, county government, and the University, Margarita is conscientious and supportive. Her knowledge and “can do” attitude leads her to help the office with technical issues and questions. Along with her many duties Margarita has trained new Unit Administrative Assistants with the Destiny One system as well as spending partial days in the Pulaski office to help when they were without a UAA. Margarita brought her experience from working at Penn State to provide support to the Montgomery office always doing above and beyond what is expected. Her broad knowledge makes her an invaluable part of Virginia Cooperative Extension.
