Brittany Bane

Brittany Bane joined the College of Agriculture and Life Sciences in July 2026 as Human Resources Manager, supporting CALS Academic Programs, Administrative Units, and Agricultural Research and Extension Centers (ARECs). She brings more than 10 years of human resources experience across higher education, manufacturing, technology, and startup organizations, partnering with leaders to build engaged teams and support employee success. Prior to joining CALS, Brittany held HR leadership roles at Virginia Tech and most recently served as Human Resources Manager for Spectrum Brands. She earned a Bachelor of Science in Business Administration with a concentration in Human Resource Management from Southern New Hampshire University and is a SHRM Certified Professional (SHRM-CP). She is passionate about building relationships, helping others grow, and fostering a positive workplace culture. When she's not at work, she enjoys spending time outdoors with her husband and toddler son and caring for her ever-growing collection of houseplants.
