Chris is a proud Hokie and serves as the web manager for Virginia Tech’s College of Agriculture and Life Sciences, as well as the Virginia Agricultural Experiment Station (VAES) and Virginia Cooperative Extension (VCE). He brings a technical and engineering-driven mindset to the role, blending hands-on development skills with a strategic approach to digital communications.

He earned his B.S. in Electrical Engineering from the Bradley Department of Electrical and Computer Engineering at Virginia Tech in 2014. While completing his degree, he began working as a content developer in the Digital Production department at Modea in Blacksburg. After graduation, he transitioned to a full-time role as team lead, guiding teams of content developers through the departments’s evolution into its own company, Ozmo.

During his time at Ozmo, he expanded into software development, implementing novel coding solutions to improve workflow efficiency. His contributions helped reduce the content development cycle and led to his promotion to the software engineering team. Over the years, he has worked in a range of web development environments and tech stacks, both in-house and as a freelancer for individuals and small businesses.

Outside of work, he enjoys spending time with his wife, two sons, and their dog. His favorite pastime is exploring the creeks, rivers, and lakes around Blacksburg and in the Jefferson National Forest.
