CALS researchers have partnered with Israeli scientists to explore mechanisms controlling embryo development in cattle. This work is being funded by the United States-Israel Binational  Agricultural Research Award Program, a funding agency that funds research investigating agricultural problems that exist in both the U.S. and Israel. The Virginia Tech-Volcani Center partnership is taking advantage of parallel interests and unique technologies available at both institutions to discover news ways to limit early pregnancy losses in cattle and other livestock species.
