The Alliance to Advance Climate-Smart Agriculture is a three-year, $80-million pilot supported by the United States Department of Agriculture's Partnerships for Climate-Smart Commodities program.  Led by the Virginia Tech College of Agriculture and Life Sciences, the Alliance will distribute more than $57 million of the largest grant in the university’s history to producers to enact climate-friendly practices and serve as a pilot program for a national model.

Carly manages the fiscal affairs of the Alliance, including ensuring all guidelines and requirements are met with the US Government, and being the liaison between the Alliance team, its partners and subcontractors, and other Virginia Tech departments.

Most recently, Carly worked with Goodwill Industries of the Valleys as Senior Accountant working mainly with the internal and externally-funded community programs.   She has an extensive accounting background in both the private and public business sectors, bringing over 10+ years of experience and diverse knowledge.

Carly is a Virginia Tech alumna from the Pamplin School of Business with a B.S. in Business of  Accounting.  Go Hokies!   On her off time she enjoys spending time with her family and enjoying the outdoors.
