Patrick Hilt serves as the Director of Facilities for the college. He has served in this role since 2017. Patrick received his Bachelor’s degree in civil engineering from Virginia Tech and is a licensed Professional Engineer. Prior to this position, he served as Director of Facility Services for the Roanoke Higher Education Center. Patrick provides leadership to, and oversees all functions within the college related to facilities, including off-campus leased space, on-campus laboratory and office space, related infrastructure systems, AREC’s and campus farms. He serves as the primary point of contact with university officials for capital construction, renovations, security, insurance, space, infrastructure upgrades/repairs, real estate, and other facility related functions; including coordination of activities associated with the relocations of personnel and equipment. He is also responsible for the day to day management and college-wide communications of facilities activities and programs.
