Description

Methods involved in the organization, management, and evaluation of programs and curricula for agricultural education and Cooperative Extension. (This course is targeted to Extension agents and agricultural teachers, but enrollment is open to all interested.)

Learning Objectives

This course will concentrate in using basic knowledge gained previously as a foundation for expanding experience, strengthening an refining skills, raising the level of professional performance, and instilling greater confidence in program and curriculum planning. After this course, students should be able to:

  1. Gain an understanding of major concepts upon which program planning and curriculum development in agricultural and Extension education is based.
  2. Understand and utilize relevant theoretical frameworks including educational models and theories.
  3. Apply the concepts and theories in program planning and curriculum development to the education environment.

Prerequisites and Corequisites

Graduate Standing.
