ALS 5184: Complex Challenges in Agricultural and Life Sciences

Description

Analysis of “wicked problems” faced by the food and agriculture industry. Examination of interconnected challenges affecting numerous stakeholders with competing priorities. Economic, social, and environmental impacts of food and agriculture issues are explored. Identification of key challenges impacting industry stakeholders and examination of solution strategies acceptable to diverse stakeholder groups. Evaluation of the economic, social, and environmental impacts of proposed solutions. Exploration and assessment of career paths that prepare professionals to address key challenges in agricultural and life sciences.

 Students should acquire facts, skills, and problem-solving abilities to:
