Pursuing her master's degree and PhD in Food Science

“As an entrepreneur with my own juicing business, my love for science is at the forefront of my mission to expand and innovate in the realm of nutrition. I'm constantly seeking out new ways to create delicious and nutritious beverages that can benefit people's health and well-being.”

Anarra is a dedicated student and an adamant researcher. She received the first-place award at the 45th annual Tennessee State University-wide research symposium for her abstract titled "Reversing the Entrepreneurial Curse: Assessing Issues Faced as a Self-Employed Juicing Business Owner." In the future, Anarra aspires to become a Food Chemist with her own juicing laboratory that provides stability, experience, and growth for all, but especially young black females who desire to excel in the rigorous field of agriculture, food, and natural sciences. Anarra's passion for her work is contagious, and her dedication to creating opportunities for others is inspiring.  

Anarra holds an Associate of Science from Clark State Community College as well as a bachelor's degree in Food and Nutritional Science with a minor in English from Tennessee State University. She is pursuing her master's degree and PhD in Food Science with a particular interest in Food Chemistry from VT's College of Agriculture and Life Sciences.
